Lauren is a threatened species biologist specialising in threatened species conservation, with expertise spanning conservation breeding, avian ecology, and both ex situ and in situ conservation. She has contributed to the recovery of threatened species through roles in conservation breeding and species coordination, including work with the Orange-bellied Parrot Recovery Program. Lauren is undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne researching the ecology and genetics of the Eastern Ground Parrot. Her interests include conservation genetics, species recovery, and evidence-based management of threatened wildlife.
